The Library Media Center at Harp Elementary provides independent and integrated programs of study for students.  Each class participates in a designated library time once a week in 45 minute intervals.  They can also access the library and its materials throughout the school day.  Aside from checking out books each week, the students are guided through interactive lessons with Mrs. Morgenthaler.  Students are engaged in activities and learning experiences that are aligned with the Arkansas State Library Standards.  Some of these include:  Literacy appreciation, library checkout and research skills, and shared reading.

Birthday Book Club: To join a child is to bring $10.00 with the completed form to Mrs. Morgenthaler in the library. During your child's birthday month, the student will choose a book from the library which will become a book in his/her honor; a book plate will be attached inside the book. Your child's name will also be displayed on a huge birthday cake located in the cafeteria. You can download the form by clicking here.
